What is a Festival of Praise?
A Festival of Praise is an opportunity to have an intimate encounter with our Lord by adoring Him in the Eucharist. We gather as a community of faith to praise the God who offers us His love in unique and tangible ways each and every day. We hear a powerful witness talk, then praise and worship music is led by a band to help us draw even closer to God through song. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available to all in attendance.
Details
The Festival of Praise will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Perrysville (1000 Avila Ct, Pgh 15237). Fr. Joe Freedy, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, will be sharing a reflection on the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Music will be led by Carl Stuvek and his band. A short reception will follow in Schoppol Hall, and free will donations will be taken to help make a retreat more affordable for the Confirmation candidates at St. Teresa's.
